Starting the wash
Next, we’ll figure out how to activate the washing process. The machine is turned on by pressing the “on/off” button. This is a large button with an image of a vertical stick. All lights on the control panel should light up and then go out. Then only one light, located near the power button, will blink.
Then you need to do the following:
- Sort dirty laundry
- Load things into the washing machine and close the hatch,
- Select the required washing mode by turning the program selection knob,
- Set the desired water temperature using the temperature selector knob.
- Add detergent and, if necessary, conditioner to the powder receptacle.
- Press and hold the Start/Reset button for several seconds. After this, the wash will start.
Indesit WISL 82 washing equipment is equipped with a daily wash mode, which is very popular among owners. Its execution time is thirty minutes. This program is used to quickly wash lightly soiled items.
Adding detergents
In order for the quality of washing to be high, it is necessary not only to be able to dose the detergents used. It is also important to learn how to distribute them between the compartments of the powder receptacle.
The detergent tray contains four compartments: three of them are main, and one is additional, installed if necessary.
- The first cell, located on the left, is used for prewash. You only need to add powder to it when the selected program includes pre-wash.
- The compartment located in the middle is used for the main wash. You need to pour or add detergent there in any case.
- The section on the right is for conditioner and other similar additives.
- The additional cell is mounted directly into the first compartment. It is intended for bleach.
There is no need to use too much washing powder. Indeed, in such cases it will not be completely washed out of the powder receptacle. As a result, the tray will become dirty and the machine pipes will become clogged. The instructions for the Indesit WISL 82 machine indicate that you cannot put powder intended for hand washing into it.
When starting the prewash, the fourth compartment must be removed. You only need to insert an additional cell when you start bleaching things. The bleach is poured into a small jar located in the middle of the cell. Then you need to close the tray with the powder cells and start the program.
Why do you need to reset the program correctly?
Those who believe that in order to stop the washing machine in an emergency, it is enough to disconnect the device from the electrical network are mistaken.
Firstly, the automatic washing machine will continue to operate in the previously set mode after being plugged in again (it is simply impossible to reset the program in this way).
Secondly, an emergency stop of the washing machine by disconnecting it from the network is fraught with problems with the control module (sudden voltage surges damage the circuit boards and microcircuits of the “brains” of household appliances).

Selecting a washing program
By reading the operating instructions for this model, you can find a description of the options and programs that the equipment supports.
When choosing a program, you should take into account a number of parameters, such as the degree of soiling, the fabric from which the items being washed are made, etc. Let's look at the washing programs in more detail.
Washing programs Indesit WISL 82
- The first mode is “Cotton”. Performed at 90°C. Designed for washing heavily soiled white cotton laundry. The program includes a preliminary and main wash, rinsing and spinning. You need to add not only powder to the powder receptacle, but also conditioner. Execution timer – 137 minutes.
- 2nd mode “Cotton”. Like the previous one, it is performed at a water temperature of ninety degrees. This program does not have a prewash, but does have the option of bleaching. Completes in 120 minutes.
- 3rd mode “Cotton”. Heating water to – 60°C. It is used more often, as it allows you to wash mixed or white cotton linen. This mode is used for washing moderately and heavily soiled items with a strong color. The program contains the main wash, rinsing and spinning. Whitening is also possible. The execution timer is 105 minutes.
- 4th program “Cotton”. Water heating during washing is 40°C. It differs from the previous program only in water temperature. This difference is significant. After all, it allows you to wash even lightly soiled colored items that are susceptible to fading in this mode. Running time is 72 minutes.
- 5th mode “Cotton”. Water heating - 30 degrees. It is a complete analogue of the previous mode. The only difference is in the water temperature, which affects the quality of laundry washing. Using this program, it is recommended to wash only those colored items that tend to fade a lot. The duration of the regime is 65 minutes.
- The sixth mode is “Synthetics” at a water temperature of 40 or 60 degrees. It is possible to select the water temperature. The program first washes, then rinses and gently spins. During the main wash, washing powder is added, as well as conditioner. The program washes heavily soiled synthetic items with strong colors. When setting the temperature at 60°C, the execution time is 77 minutes, and at 40 degrees – 62 minutes.
- Seventh mode “Synthetics”. The water temperature is fifty degrees. Contains main wash, rinsing and very gentle spin. In addition to washing powder, conditioner is added to the tray. This mode is used for washing heavily soiled clothes with strong colors. The execution timer is 73 minutes.
- Eighth mode “Synthetics”. The water temperature is forty degrees. Similar to the previous program. However, this mode can be used to wash lightly soiled colored synthetic clothing. Running time is 58 minutes.
- The ninth mode is “Synthetic” at a water temperature of 30 degrees. Allows you to wash any items. Even colored ones. Does not contain whitening function. The execution timer is 30 minutes.
- Tenth mode “Wool”. The water temperature in this mode is 40 °C. Contains the same washing steps. It is possible to stop the washing process. Allows you to wash mixed and woolen items. It is possible to use air conditioning. The execution time is fifty minutes.
- Eleventh mode “Delicate fabrics” . The water temperature is thirty degrees. It differs from the mode described above in the absence of spinning and heating of water for washing.
In addition to the indicated modes, the Indesit WISL 82 washing equipment has partial washing programs. They should be used only when necessary. This is a gentle and simple rinse mode, gentle and normal spinning of the laundry, and draining the water. You can also use the extra rinse option, light ironing option and bleaching option. This model also allows you to turn off the laundry spin.
Unit care
During operation of the machine, you need to monitor its technical condition. Otherwise, an unpleasant surprise awaits you in the future in the form of an unexpected breakdown of the device.
The tee tap must be closed at the end of each wash. It is necessary to wash and wipe dry the rubber cuff of the car hatch. The powder receptacle must be regularly removed and cleaned under running water. Residues of washing powder should not accumulate on its inner walls.
After finishing washing, the hatch must be left ajar. This is necessary to prevent mold and unpleasant odors from appearing inside the unit. The garbage filter needs to be cleaned every six months. Dirt and various small objects accumulate there.
The inlet hose should also be inspected annually. It should not have mechanical damage or cracks. If leaks occur, this element must be immediately replaced with a new one.
