The chosen solution significantly reduces consumption, but only if the communication between the dispenser and the drum is broken, through which the soap solution flows poorly. This is easy to find out if you look into the compartment after completing the washing cycle. If residues are not visible, then you can safely use the standard method and not resort to extremes.
