Aniline dyes are applied to fabric by boiling. The pigment is diluted according to the manufacturer's instructions. The longer you cook the T-shirt, the darker and deeper the color you will get. Before the end of the procedure, be sure to add salt so that the paint sets.

Folk tricks

To color a T-shirt, housewives use natural dyes. To obtain red color, beets or potassium permanganate are used, blue color is produced by sage and blackberry, and orange celandine and turmeric are used. Yellow color is obtained by using the buds of poplar or wormwood, carrots, and green - by juniper, sorrel.

The dyeing process resembles the procedure for using aniline dyes. However, the water should not be brought to a boil; its temperature should not exceed 50-60°C. For fastening use:

  1. aluminum alum;
  2. copper sulfate;
  3. ferric ammonium alum.

After dyeing, the selected fixative is diluted with water and the T-shirt is immersed in it for 25 minutes, after which it is rinsed well in an acidified solution (vinegar 9%).

To obtain a rich color, the T-shirt must be soaked overnight in the dyeing mixture. After rinsing, it is better not to twist the item, but to let all the water drain out.

You can dye a T-shirt with fucorcin, iodine, brilliant green. For 5 liters of water you will need 10 ml of the selected product, which is thoroughly stirred and the product is immersed in the mixture. The effect is immediate; for color saturation, you can keep the T-shirt in the solution for several minutes.

To fix the color, add 100 ml of vinegar (9%) to 3 liters of water and immerse the item for 15 minutes, then wash.
