How to clean linoleum: cleaning rules, photos, review of the best products and effective techniques

They laid new, textured linoleum. beautiful, in the form of small boards, just like wooden floors turned out. I tried to wash it today - it was just terrible. You can only move a rag or mop from wall to wall in the direction of the “boards”; if you move it across, all the dirt from the rag is carefully removed by the “texture” and, accordingly, remains on the floor. Maybe there is some secret, like - only a certain mop, or only a washing vacuum cleaner, or only Kirby :). Share your experience!

I'll listen too. So far only “in the direction of the boards” and mine. But it’s nice to walk on it barefoot, and it doesn’t slip. ;)

Yes, that’s why they chose it because it doesn’t slip. even if water is spilled.

Nowadays it’s mostly textured and sold. Has no one figured out how to wash it?

That is, if he doesn’t use planks, but... uh. with such convolutions, then is it not washable at all? (horrified emoticon)

And I just had my sights set on buying one. Now, perhaps, I’ll think about smooth.

No, don’t refuse - the texture is so nice)) Now the whole world will figure out how to care for it, and everything will be OK. :))

In fact, it’s not such a huge problem to wash along the boards. On the other hand, I wonder if there is a simpler and more convenient way?

We laid this linoleum. During the renovation process, it was completely covered with concrete dust, and the builders trampled it down so much that the drawing was not visible. I didn’t even try to wash it with a mop. We bought VAX and cleaned it the first time. Just great. You can drive both along and across (lengthwise is more convenient). After the second time I was as good as new.

What is VAX?

On topic - if I had known that it would wash like this, I would not have bought it. Ours is not striped, but rather granite, not smooth. In some places it gets trampled, like mine. Using a brush on a mop is much more messy than a smooth one. You have to rub vigorously, then use a rag to collect what has lathered up :). Sensitive subject
