Original techniques for packing men's shirts as gifts
If you take a creative approach to designing a men's shirt as a gift and use your imagination, the result will be creative and original packaging.
You can make interesting packaging in the form of a handbag with your own hands using wrapping paper and satin ribbon. As a template for a future handbag, you need to take a box of the required size, wrap it in paper, secure all edges except one with tape, remove the box from the paper, and use a hole punch to make holes for the tape that will serve as handles on the unglued edges. Place the gift in the finished bag. The finished original product can be decorated at your discretion.
How to pack a gift in the form of a men's shirt with valuable additions (for example, money, sweets, alcohol)
A gift box in the shape of a shirt will look creative. It is suitable for any size and shape of present, which is very convenient. To decorate the box, you first need to put a gift in it, wrap it with wrapping paper so that the seam is in the center of the longest side. Cut a rectangle of paper as long as the packaging. Fold the edges inward. Glue in the center, covering the seam of the wrapping paper. It will have buttons.
For the collar, you will need a 5 cm wide strip cut from paper of a different color. The edges should be folded and folded in half along the long side. Bend the extreme parts of the rectangle at a slight downward angle. Inside, the top points should touch. Glue the finished collar at the top of the box above the button rectangle so that it protrudes 1 cm upward.
Under the collar, if desired, you can glue a tie, make a pocket, and attach buttons.
Shirt color
When choosing a color, it is important to take into account a man’s color type, that is, his natural skin tone. So, if your skin tone is yellowish, then you should avoid gray shades; for dark skin, it is better not to choose clothes with reddish and yellowish colors. If it is difficult for you to determine the color type, then choose classic colors - black, white, beige, ivory.
If you are choosing a festive shirt, but do not know what colors a man prefers, then it is better to also choose a snow-white shirt. If you are choosing a shirt as a gift for your spouse, then look through his wardrobe in advance: according to the rules for selecting a wardrobe, the shade of the shirt should be lighter than the shade of the suit. If a man’s wardrobe is dominated by black suits, then choose white or light-colored shirts as a gift.
Snow-white shirt as a gift
To avoid making a mistake when choosing a gift, give preference to plain shirts. The classic option is checked shirts: in this case, it is better to choose a thin check. It is better not to buy products with drawings as gifts.
If you choose a shirt for relaxation, then it may well be products of bright colors and patterns. For example, for a beach holiday you can choose clothes with a Hawaiian pattern.
What does it mean if a girl gives you a shirt?
Signs interpret the fact extremely negatively when an unmarried girl gives a shirt to her beloved young man. If the couple is not yet in an officially registered relationship, then such a reckless gift is fraught with imminent separation or even final separation. By giving an intimate item of clothing, a young donor subconsciously provokes her man to flirt and cheat.
Attention! A woman can fearlessly give a shirt only to her own husband, as one of the popular signs says.
When a free girl gives a man or guy two shirts at once, this means she is ready for a closer relationship. On an intuitive level, she has already accepted this man and is ready to marry him.
How to get rid of negative consequences
Signs advise men, under any pretext, to refuse shirts presented to them (especially from strangers). When there is no valid reason for refusal, you can get rid of possible negative consequences as follows:
- Pay for a gift by buying it off. It is absolutely not necessary to give the real value of the item; a small coin is enough.
- Clean your shirt of bad energy using coarse salt. To do this, you need to keep it overnight in a box or basin, sprinkle it thickly with the simplest coarse salt (not iodized).
To avoid misunderstandings and a sticky situation, the donor can secure his gift himself. To do this, you need to add a butterfly to the shirt. From an esoteric point of view, a butterfly is not fully a tie, it does not carry any risk, and it is allowed to give it as a gift. The one to whom it is presented will not sit on the neck. On the contrary, the relationship with the recipient will only get stronger and last for many years.

“Bad” gifts: 25 folk signs and superstitions
Lovely ladies often prefer to leave their imagination to hairstyles and do not bother with gifts for strong-sexed men on Defender of the Fatherland Day.

“My wife promised a gift for February 23rd. I just don’t have the patience to find out what color the socks will be this year!” This is an anecdote from life. Lovely ladies often prefer to leave their imagination to hairstyles and do not bother with gifts for strong-sexed men on Defender of the Fatherland Day. That’s why they present men with standard “gentleman’s kits” - socks, underpants, shaving foam. And whoever gives his husband socks risks receiving a set of frying pans on March 8th! Isn't it time to break this “vicious circle”? Moreover, folk signs suggest that such gifts do not bode well. For those who listen to the wisdom of their ancestors, we decided to remind you what gifts, according to the beliefs of different peoples, should be avoided.
1) Clock.
Such a gift is not honored in many countries. The Chinese especially don't like him. They believe that the donated watch counts down the time until the death of a person. Our superstition about watches is not so gloomy, but still unpleasant: they say that a watch as a gift promises a quick quarrel.
2) Knives.
Among European peoples, it is considered a bad sign to give any piercing or cutting objects as a gift. Supposedly they will bring misfortune to the house. We have the same interpretation of this gift from Western countries. But in Latin America, for example, a cutting object symbolizes the desire to break off any kind of relationship with the “gifted”. Meanwhile, in the Caucasus and the Middle East, giving weapons is in the order of things. And such gifts don’t bother anyone there...
3) Socks.
It is believed that it is better for a woman not to give her husband socks, as he might leave home in them. However, some wives use this sign for their own benefit - they incite mothers-in-law to give socks to their sons so that their husbands get out of the influence of their mothers.

4) Handkerchiefs.
This sign is characteristic only of Orthodox countries. They believe that giving a handkerchief means tears.
5) Books.
Some people say that a book is the best gift. And some people think that only if it is a gift to yourself. Or, at worst, an unmarried friend or relative. The main thing, according to popular belief, is not to a loved one. According to signs, giving a book to your significant other means breaking up.
There is also a belief that books should not be given to married couples. Allegedly, this can provoke discord and betrayal in the family.
6) Pearls.
The sign came from Ancient Greece, where pearls were considered the tears of sea nymphs. Now superstitious people say that pearls as a gift are a harbinger of tears.
7) Mirrors.
There are many superstitions associated with mirrors in different cultures. It is not for nothing that they are often used for fortune telling. Therefore, it is believed that donated mirrors can bring trouble to the house.
Dishes.
The most important thing here is not to inadvertently give away cracked or chipped dishes. Allegedly, this can “break” the recipient’s life. In this regard, I would like to remember the tradition of breaking dishes at a wedding. It is believed that newlyweds do this in order to leave all the troubles outside the new family.
If you still decide to give the dishes, then you need to put something inside. For example, a coin. Otherwise, they say, empty dishes can bring lack of money into the house.

9) Bird figures.
It is believed that figures of any birds can bring anxiety and fussiness into the house. Therefore, if you decide to give some figurines, then it is better to do without birds.
10) Empty wallet, bag or suitcase.
These gifts are only good if they are filled with something. It is recommended to put a coin in your wallet, and at least some candy in your bag or suitcase.
11) Animals or plants.
If you decide to give someone a cat, a dog (a parrot and others like them) or a flower in a pot, then be sure to ask for a “ransom”. Symbolic, of course. Let it be a small bill, for example. Otherwise, according to legend, the “living gift” will not be able to find a place for itself in the new house - supposedly it will look for a way to the previous owner.
12) Slippers.
The belief regarding slippers remains mainly in rural areas. There it is believed that giving slippers means a long illness or even death. Superstitious people have a particularly bad attitude towards white slippers.
13) Amber jewelry.
They say that such a gift for separation.
14) Caskets.
Superstitious people believe that if you present a box to someone, the recipient will subsequently hide his thoughts from the giver.
15) Hair combs.
It is believed that such a gift will help others find out your secrets.
16) Gloves, mittens and scarves.
There is no clear explanation for this sign. They just say that such gifts can cause conflict between people.
17) Tie.
It is believed that a tie “ties” the wearer to the giver. There are even many love spells with ties. Therefore, you can only give a tie to a very close person.
If you’re going to give a tie, let it be a bow tie! Photo by ITAR-TASS/Vyacheslav Prokofiev.
18) Knitted items.
This sign applies only to unmarried girls. It is believed that giving your loved one something handmade before the wedding is a sign of treason.
19) Underwear.
It is believed that underwear given by a wife to her husband can push him to cheat.
20) Chains.
If the donated chain suddenly breaks (and no one is insured here), then according to legend, this can lead to a severance of relations with its donor.
21) Towels.
It is believed that such a gift can bring illness to the recipient.
22) Pectoral crosses.
There is a belief that crosses can only be given at baptism. Otherwise, the person allegedly transfers part of his “cross” to the recipient—his worries, illnesses, and adversities. Meanwhile, the church refutes such superstitions and does not oppose the gift of crosses under any circumstances.
23) Cosmetics for shower and washing.
There is a version that because of the gift of shower gel, someone can “wash away” from your life.
24) Candles.
There is a superstition that candles are given for funerals. Alas, if you believe in omens, then you should refuse cute decorative candles as a gift.
According to signs, you should not give candles to anyone. Even decorative ones.

25) Alcoholic drinks.
And this sign may have been invented by the Ministry of Health... There is a version that gifted alcohol can take away the health of the recipient. And here, unlike many previous points, you can grasp at least some logic!
***
It is worth noting that almost any sign can be bypassed. To do this, you just need to ask the recipient for a symbolic “ransom” for the gift. Even a penny will do! And then it will no longer be a gift, but a purchase. But “gift signs” do not work on her.
WHAT TO GIVE?
Unfortunately, good gifts are accepted less than bad ones. But some of them can be taken into account.
1) Pillows.
Paired pillows received as a gift promise home harmony and contentment for the whole family.
2) Carpet.
It is believed that a carpet as a gift will bring good luck to the recipient in all endeavors.
3) Tablecloth.
A gifted tablecloth will strengthen the friendship of the giver and the recipient.
4) Sunglasses.
If a man gives such a gift to his wife, it is believed that she will argue with him less. Because he will look at the world through his eyes.
But sunglasses for women are a good gift!

5) Handle.
It is recommended to give writing utensils to bosses. They say that he will listen more to the donor.
BY THE WAY
Signs associated with the method of giving
1) There is a version that money cannot be given after sunset. Allegedly, this promises a need not for the recipient, but for the giver himself. If there is a need to give money in the evening, it is advised not to pass it from hand to hand, but to put it on the table for the person to take.
It is believed that it is advisable to give money during the day, not in the evening.

2) It is not good to over-give gifts. And not only from an ethical point of view. According to legends, when regifting, the “energy of a thing” changes for the worse.
3) You should not give gifts across the threshold. It is believed that one must definitely enter the house.
4) You cannot give any gifts before a person’s birthday. If you have to congratulate someone in advance, you can wrap a gift and give it to the birthday person with the condition that he unpacks the gift on the holiday.
5) As for flowers, the main sign here is to give them in odd numbers. And lovers are also not advised to present bouquets of yellow flowers. This supposedly leads to separation.
IMPORTANT
Concluding the conversation about signs, I would like to especially emphasize: the above are simply interesting elements of the cultures of different peoples. And first of all, ours, of course. There is no scientific basis for all these signs. Therefore, to believe them or not is a purely personal matter. Most modern people consider omens to be a relic of the past. And we are sure that the main thing is to give a gift from the heart! Perhaps, yes - this is really the most important thing, regardless of whether you believe in omens or not.
The main thing is that the gift is from the heart!

MEANWHILE
And what should not be given as a gift according to the rules of etiquette?
Some gifts should not be given not because of superstition, but for reasons of decency:
1) One of the main rules of etiquette in terms of gifts is to always remove price tags from any gifts. Otherwise, the recipient may get the impression that you wanted to emphasize the value of your gift.
2) It is also considered bad form to give hygiene products and cosmetics to someone. Firstly, you may not guess the recipient's preferences. And secondly, this can be regarded as an unpleasant hint of untidiness.
3) It is also rude to give books with your own signature on the cover (only if you are not the author of the work). When presenting a book, do not dirty it. Better yet, add a signed greeting card.

Surprise packaging
Wrapping a T-shirt in gift paper is not a very complicated process, but not everyone can handle it. If your hands are definitely growing in the wrong place, you can go to gift shops (like Red Cube), where sellers will be happy to help you do this for an additional fee.
If you want to do it yourself, go ahead. Firstly, it’s worth knowing that tape attaches much better than a stapler - not only does a stapler tear gift paper, it can also “attach” a T-shirt to the paper, ruining it. Secondly, there is such a truism: it is better to tape with small pieces of tape than with large ones: this way the packaging will look neater.

Don’t forget that choosing ribbons (if they are planned) and bows to match the paper is very important. They should not be the same color, but they must also combine well: for example, red on light green will look much better than yellow. Palettes of color combinations can be viewed on the Internet. In addition, it is important to know that it is better to fasten the tapes with a stapler. And you should completely forget about glue when wrapping gifts.
Devices that will simplify the process
To store and transport shirts in perfect condition, you can call on special devices and improvised means to help. For example, such items will come in handy.
- Holdall. If you are constantly on business trips, get a backpack. This is a special convenient bag for storing and transporting suits and shirts.
- Plastic stacker. This is a special board that allows you to fold a shirt in such a way that it does not wrinkle even if there are errors in storage. The shirt will be packed literally, just like in a store. You just need to lay the item on top of the plastic base and, bending the “wings” of the stacker, give the item the desired look. Such devices are sold in some hardware departments and online stores. (By the way, you can give this “gadget” as a gift to those who prefer a business style and wear shirts every day). But it’s really possible to make a stacker with your own hands by cutting out the necessary structure from thick cardboard.
- Sheet of cardboard. Or an A4 sketchbook will help you fold an ironed shirt so as not to wrinkle it. Simply place the thick sheet in the middle of the product (adjacent to the collar) and fold the sides and sleeves evenly along the contour, and then tuck the bottom.
When advising on how to fold a shirt correctly, experienced housewives pay attention to a few more points. So, it is better to allocate a separate place in the closet for shirts. On the shelf, place them on top of each other like a jack. Bulky items should not be placed on top. To protect items from dust, wrap each shirt in lightweight wrapping paper. If, after unrolling the product, there are still a few folds left on it, they can be straightened out with steam: for example, in the bathroom after a shower or using a boiling kettle.
How to wrap a gift beautifully: 22 ideas
February 14, 2018
Theater begins with a hanger, and a gift begins with packaging! Even a simple souvenir, “hidden” in packaging made with love and attention, will impress and delight the recipient of the gift.
We offer ideas that can decorate any gift, plus options for packaging flowers.
CLASSIC PACKAGING IN A SHEET OF WRAP PAPER
The simplest packaging method, suitable for a voluminous or flat rectangular gift (for example, something already sold packaged in a box), is gift paper. For packaging you will need a suitable size sheet of fancy printed or plain craft paper, tape or glue.
Wrap the gift in a piece of paper and secure the long edges with tape or glue. Using your own hands, fold the paper over the short edges to form corners. Bend the corners inward and also secure with tape or glue.
GIFT BAGS
A bag made of fabric or paper can be of any size - accordingly, it can hold almost any gift.
This is interesting: how to sew a bag with your own hands
PAPER GIFT BAG
“Unformatted” gift - very small, very large, unusual shape? You can pack this in a paper bag made by yourself. By the way, you can write or draw whatever you want on it. You will need: the gift itself (for the template) or a cardboard box of suitable size, craft paper (or any other thick paper), scissors, glue (a glue stick will do), hole punch, ribbons for pens. If you will be making inscriptions or drawings, also paint, brushes and/or a stencil.
Trace the bottom of the box on paper. Cut it out. Also cut out two parts equal in width to the width of the box (and the future package) - then you will need to use them to strengthen the places for the handles.
Place the box flat on the paper. Cut the sheet so that there is enough paper to wrap the entire gift, plus there are significant allowances left. Bend one of the edges and fold it inward - the handles of the bag will be attached there.
Wrap the box in paper and glue the edges.
From the bottom of the box, fold the remaining edges of the paper as shown in the figure, fold and glue the corners.
If you wish, add drawings or messages to the bag.
Glue parts into the bag to strengthen the place for the handles.
Place a piece inside the bottom to make it tougher. Punch holes for the handles with a hole punch and insert ribbons into them, tying each end with a knot inside the bag.

PAPER AND CARDBOARD PACKAGING
You can put a souvenir, decoration or any other small gift in handmade boxes.
PAPER “CHEST” WITH CLASP
This colored paper box is suitable for hiding a small or medium-sized gift. The size of the chest may vary - if necessary, change the dimensions of the pattern accordingly and take a larger sheet. You will need: a sheet of thick colored paper, a ruler and pencil, scissors, a breadboard knife. Draw in advance and cut out two patterns from rough paper, one with a valve, the other with a slot for it. Draw a square on a sheet of paper, trace the patterns, cut out the blank and fold the box.
CARDBOARD PACKAGING - “PILLOW”
Making such packaging is quite simple, but it is universal and can look both strict and romantic - depending on the choice of paper. You will need: a sheet of colored paper or cardboard with or without a pattern, paper glue, a pencil, a ruler, a protractor or any round object that can be used as a template, scissors, ribbon or string for decoration.
Prepare cardboard or paper of the required size. The length of the sheet will correspond to the length of the future packaging, the width of the sheet will be twice the width of the box. Leave room for “seam allowances” on three sides.
Draw fold lines on the back of the sheet. To draw rounded lines, use a protractor (saucer or something suitable). Using the blunt end of a pair of scissors, trace the outer edges of the future package along the ruler and template - this will make it easier to fold.
Cut along the outer edge.
Fold the workpiece along the marked lines.
Glue the box along the side seam. After hiding the gift there, tie it with a ribbon or cord.
PACKAGING - “CAKE”
This kind of packaging is more suitable for giving something to a girl, girl or woman - for example, in the video, one of the “pieces of cake” hides a ring in a case. But if your loved one or dad has a sweet tooth, you can hide a gift for him in such a “cake”. If you need to give gifts to a whole family or company, you can hide one gift in each “piece”. You will need: 12 sheets of thick colored paper in a “chocolate” or other “confectionery” color, scissors, glue, white ribbon, flowers for decoration, paper napkin or cake box for serving. To get started, download and print the packaging template. Next, follow the steps shown in the video.
BOX WITH COVER USING ORIGAMI TECHNIQUE
You can put a souvenir, sweets or decoration in such a box. You will need: two square sheets of double-sided colored paper, perseverance and attention.
TYING BOWS
An already wrapped gift can be decorated with bows - here are a few different ways to do it.
SIMPLE CLASSIC BOW
Wrap the gift with ribbon and tie a simple single knot. Turn the gift over with the knot facing down and rotate it 90 degrees, wrap the ribbon around it again to make a cross, and tie the knot again. Make a bow from the remaining ends of the ribbon and tie.
COMPLEX CLASSIC BOW
This cute bow is also a classic and a great decoration for any gift. Choose the color and width of the ribbon - you can make a miniature one-color bow or a large one from ribbons of different colors. You will need: packing tape (these are used, for example, in flower shops), scissors, stapler and paper clips, glue.
