An excellent alternative to household chemicals is a homemade washing gel made from laundry soap (you can also use baby laundry soap). How to wash black clothes in a washing machine

There is nothing complicated in this procedure. We load the clothes, make sure that there is free space in the drum, this is necessary so that the rinsing is high-quality and there are no streaks on the clothes. Then we set the temperature regime - it all depends on the composition and type of fabric, but in any case, it is not recommended to wash black things at temperatures above 40 degrees. We choose a mode, the optimal one is a gentle mode (delicate, daily, quick wash). We also select spin conditions at minimum speed and, if possible, add an additional rinse. If your water is too hard, the sediment that forms in it can ruin not only the internal mechanism of the washing machine, but also the structure of the material from which the item is made, and also reduce the effectiveness of the detergent. How to wash black clothes by hand

If the item is made of delicate fabric or ordinary fabric, but the degree of contamination is small, it is better to wash it by hand. In this case, the paint will be washed out less and the fibers will not be negatively affected. We will need a basin, warm (30-40 degrees) water, liquid detergent, and soda to soften the water if it is hard. First, dissolve the gel and soda in water, stirring the water, then immerse things in it and leave for 15 minutes. Then we wash without active influence, with soft kneading and squeezing movements, if possible, do not rub the fabric. Then we rinse the clothes in plenty of warm water. We finish rinsing when the foam stops flowing from the clothes and the water becomes completely transparent. Additionally, rinse in water with table vinegar (1 tablespoon per 1 liter of liquid). This will help refresh and secure the color of black items. At the very end, we wring out the things without twisting them, shake them slightly, hang them to dry, but not in the hot sun, but in the shade or in a ventilated area (not on a radiator, not in an electric dryer).

How to return things to bright black color

1. Use coffee solution.

Then we prepare the solution - there should be enough of it so that it completely covers the clothes soaked in it. For 1 liter of water we take approximately 150 grams of ground coffee. You can do more - the more concentrated the solution, the more saturated the color things will become. We boil the solution, let it cool to 30-40 degrees, filter, and immerse the clothes in the pan. Leave for 15-20 minutes, rinse, squeeze, dry.

2. We use a decoction of tobacco leaves

   . We take 15 grams of raw material per 1 liter of water, boil for half an hour, let it cool to a temperature of 30-40 degrees, filter. Next, we proceed in the same way as in the case of coffee. If your clothes smell strange after rinsing, rinse them again by adding fabric softener to the water.

3. An aqueous solution of salt and baking soda.

   We take both ingredients in equal proportions, dilute them with water, and wait until they are completely dissolved. We immerse the items for 30 minutes, rinse, wring out, and dry.

4. An aqueous solution of table vinegar 9%.

   We dilute vinegar with water in a ratio of 1 to 1. Immediately after washing and rinsing the clothes, without drying them, immerse them in the prepared liquid for 30 minutes, rinse again, wring out, and dry.

5. Natural dry charcoal food coloring or pharmaceutical activated carbon, crushed into powder. It is better, of course, to use dye, since it is sold in packs of 25 grams, is inexpensive and is already crushed. We dilute the powder with water, soak the items for half an hour, rinse thoroughly so that no grains of the substance remain in the fibers of the fabric, squeeze out and dry.

It is also worth mentioning that you can restore the brightness of the color of black things using a special dye. There is a large selection of them, as well as detergents for black clothes, especially in online stores. Here are some options:

1. Machine washable wipes Dr. Beckmann. Added to the washing machine drum along with black clothes, they restore the color of the fabric and restore the fibers.
2. Acrylic dye for fabrics made of natural, mixed fibers. Designed for processing linen, wool, natural silk, nylon, wool fabrics. It does not penetrate deep into the fibers, but envelops them from the outside. Not used for dyeing items that contain synthetic additives.
3. Simplicol paint for restoring the color of things.
4. Aniline dye for professional dyeing of silk clothing, jeans. The product penetrates deep into the fibers without destroying their structure.

Washing methods

There are two main ways to wash black clothes - by hand or in a washing machine.

Manually

This is a fairly simple process. To do this, you should perform the following steps:

1. Prepare 2 large containers that can hold several things at once. It is also acceptable to use the sink.
2. The containers should be filled 3/4 full with water. At the same time, its temperature should not exceed 30 degrees. Higher settings result in loss of color.
3. The detergent composition should be dissolved in the first basin. For 1 product you will need 1-2 small spoons.
4. It is recommended to place the clothes in water and stir them slightly. This will help remove contaminants from the fibers.
5. Try to foam the composition well and wash for 5 minutes. This is done before the fabric is cleaned.
6. Then you need to pull out the item, gently wring it out and place it in a bowl of clean water.
7. It is recommended to rinse the product very vigorously. This is done within 5 minutes.
8. It is necessary to repeat the manipulations until the water is completely purified.

Manufacturers do not recommend wringing black clothes.

It is best to let the excess liquid drain. The item should be dried on a horizontal surface. A hanger is also suitable for this purpose. It is better not to hang clothes on a rope, as this will cause uneven stretching of the fabric.

Automatic in the washing machine

4. Load the drum 2/3 full. This will help improve the quality of the wash.
5. It is recommended to wash black clothes separately from colored ones. This rule is true even for those things that do not fade.
6. For black clothes, it is not recommended to set the temperature above 40 degrees.
7. If there are stains, you should use a non-aggressive stain remover that does not contain chlorine.
8. Items should be dried naturally. This is done in a shaded place.

How to remove stains on black clothes

Various stains, especially light ones, are very clearly visible on black things, and, naturally, they do not decorate the product. The following household chemicals will help get rid of stains that could not be removed during normal washing:

3. You can try to remove stubborn stains of various origins with an aqueous solution of table salt (100 grams per 1 liter of water). Rub the mixture into the stain and leave for a day, after which rinse the item.
4. Grease stains can be removed by rubbing salt into the fabric, treating it with dishwashing detergent and then with laundry soap.
5. If stains or deposits appear on the fabric, this may indicate that the item was not rinsed properly. Repeat this procedure using plenty of running water and, optionally, rinse aid for black items.

It is strictly forbidden to wash/remove stains from black clothing using products that claim to bleach or brighten. If you are not sure that the drug is suitable for your purposes, look at its composition. The presence of a product such as chlorine as a component (may be indicated as sodium hypochlorite) is a contraindication for use on black things.
