• There is no point in rubbing a fresh mark with a wet rag, it will only be absorbed more into the fabric;
• when removing ink, you need to take into account the characteristics of the material from which the product is made;
• if you decide to use aggressive compounds, you need to study the instructions for their use;
• the new product must be tested in advance on an inconspicuous area; if it does not harm the product, treatment can be continued;
• Do not use too hot water, it should be at room temperature, boiling water helps seal the ink into the fibers of the fabric;
• as the cotton pad or sponge becomes dirty, it is changed; if you do not adhere to this rule, the area of ​​the stain will increase;
• You need to rub the stain in the direction from the edge to the center.

Old marks are removed in several approaches; it will not be possible to deal with an impressive stain in one go.

What to do if your gel pens are dry?

The first is to heat the metal tip with a lighter to soften the ink. It is not recommended to use it due to the fact that open fire is unsafe. In addition, this way you will most likely just melt the plastic rod. The second way is to hold the rod under hot water.

How to scrub off furniture?

Depending on what kind of furniture was dirty, the methods for removing gel and ballpoint pens will differ:

1. You can remove ink stains from fabric upholstery using lemon juice. The acid is equally effective on gel and classic inks. To begin with, the product is sprinkled with salt, after which it is generously moistened with lemon juice. To prevent the stain from spreading, be sure to circle it with a paraffin candle. After half an hour, the upholstery is washed with soapy water, wiped with a clean damp cloth and allowed to dry.
2. Leatherette is cleaned using alcohol-containing compounds. You can choose from: cologne, vodka, glass cleaner or pure alcohol.
3. Leather covering requires careful treatment, so it is treated with gentle compounds. Milk is an effective and safe remedy. A napkin is soaked in it and applied to the contaminated area for 15 minutes. If the composition does not work, you can use professional cleaners for leather furniture. Face cream works well with ballpoint pen ink.
4. Remove stains from artificial suede with a solution of laundry soap. The alkali breaks down the dye, making it easy to remove from the surface of the product. The soap is ground into shavings, diluted with a small amount of water, applied to the stain and left for 10 minutes. Then the composition is removed with a clean, damp cloth.

From the table

Tables are made from different materials. The priority method for removing ink depends on this:

• 
  wooden furniture is cleaned with soda so that it does not leave small scratches on the surface, it is diluted with a small amount of water, soda paste is applied for 20 minutes, and then washed off with clean water;

• Ink can be easily removed from a glass table with a solution of citric acid - take 1 teaspoon of it per 1 glass of water;
• Stains can be removed from a painted table using toothpaste; to obtain the maximum effect, it is recommended to use a bleaching composition; the paste is applied to the surface, rubbed, left for 10 minutes and washed off with water;
• Pen marks can be removed from a plastic table using sunscreen; it is applied to the stain for 5 minutes, after which it is removed with a paper napkin - this method is effective for porous coatings.

From rubber

To get rid of traces of ballpoint and gel pens left on rubber, use the following means:

1. Lemon juice . A cotton pad is soaked in it and used to wipe the contaminated surface.
2. Vegetable oil . It copes well with fresh marks. If they are old, the recipe is strengthened with laundry soap. The resulting mixture is applied to the contaminated area for 20 minutes, after which it is washed off with clean water.
3. Melamine sponge . It perfectly removes even ingrained traces of ink from rubber, but if they penetrate deeply, you will have to make an effort.
4. Nail polish remover . It is applied to a cotton pad, which is used to wipe the contaminated surface.
5. Toothpaste . To obtain optimal results, it is mixed with washing powder in equal proportions. The holding time of the composition is 30 minutes.

Ink on cotton or linen fabric

How to remove ink from linen or cotton products? Another method is steaming over a solution of acetone and alcohol. You need to mix the liquids in equal parts, pour into a saucepan and heat in a water bath. Then turn off the heat and place the stained area over the steaming liquid. After steaming, you need to rinse the product with cold water and iron it.

IMPORTANT: when ironing, be sure to place a rag under the product.

This procedure can be repeated several times.

How to remove ink from clothes

Don't want to completely ruin the thing? Then follow the basic recommendations:

1. Having chosen a suitable product, try using it on a separate piece of fabric, which is always sold with the item. There is no such cut; you can carefully test it in an inconspicuous place, preferably on the back of the product.
2. There are many ways to remove blots, but not all of them are gentle and suitable for all fabrics. How to remove pen ink from clothes that are fading? You should not use products with solvents - they will change the color of the item. Another thing is vinegar, which helps fix the shade on colored fabric. To remove blots from synthetics, you should choose liquids with acetone.

Rinse the pen

Washing the pen is an integral part of the fountain pen care process. To perform this operation, you must take several steps:

• Fill a small container with warm water (no cleaning products).
• We put the feather in the container for a day.
• We wash it until the ink disappears.
• Wipe the feather with a cloth.
